Web-Based Resources for Structural Equation Modeling

There are a number of web-based resources for students of structural equaiton modeling. Many
instructors have put up very extensive web pages with links to dozens of SEM-related materials.
I will refer you to some of these pages below. Here are some basic resources, which you should find
useful.

Software: There are at least eight major SEM programs. Links to the two programs we will use
in this course are given below. Links to other packages can be found on instructor pages listed
 below, particularly Ed Rigdon's.

Matrix Algebra: Here is a useful set of  matrix algebra notes from Michael Brannick at the University of
South Florida.

SEMNET and SEM FAQ: There is a very active listserv for SEM users. The SEM archives contain answers to
hundreds of questions that users have posed over the years. You can learn a lot just by reading this list regularly.
The SEM FAQ is a work in progress being put together by a group of users.

SEM Bibliography: There is a huge SEM literature, both technical and applied. Jason Newsom, at Portland State University, has
compiled a very extensive   web-based bibliography .

SEM Web pages from other instructors: There are numerous pages on the web, far more extensive than this, which provide
links to many other SEM resources. I have picked out just a few that I think are particularly useful. Ed Rigdon's page gives you
links to many more. This is your only chance to see what David Kenney's dog looks like.
