Take
the following steps to get up and running.
- Download SETUP2.EXE.
- Copy this file to a directory other than RRM.
- Run SETUP2 from the Program Manager (Run, under the File Menu).
SETUP2 installs MIXOR, MIXREG, MIXNO and MIXPREG on your Windows system.
During installation you can choose to install any or all of
the programs. Because SETUP2 contains all four programs, it
is rather large. If you are only interested in one of the programs,
it's better to download and use the individual setup programs:
- MIXOR202.EXE for
MIXOR (version 2.0)—a program for mixed-effects ordinal
regression analysis.
- MIXREG122.EXE for
MIXREG (version 1.2)—a program for mixed-effects regression
analysis including autocorrelated errors.
- MIXNO102.EXE for
MIXNO (version 1.0)—a program for mixed-effects nominal
logistic regression analysis.
- MIXPREG12.EXE for
MIXPREG (version 1.1)—a program for mixed-effects Poisson
regression analysis.
For all programs, a number of examples are included to illustrate
program options and use. When a program is started for the
very first time, one of the examples is called up. These default
examples represent simpler models, the other examples often
represent more complicated models. By trying these examples
out, users can get a sense of the various program options.
To try different examples, just change the name of the Definition
File Name (once you are in the program) to one listed below
(and click on the Run button).
Note that the definition files are
unique to each program, i.e., MIXREG definition files will
only work within MIXREG, etc.
If you are using Windows XP, download
the XP patches.
