O'Hare Airport to the Department: By far the easiest method is the elevated train, or EL in Chicago. Take the train just opposite terminal 3, the Blue Line, and exit at Uof I-Halstead, and you will be in front of the University. Then you can follow the map below.

From Midway Airport it is equally easy. Take the Orange line, and exit at the Clark st. station, where you can transfer to the Blue line. You can take any of the Blue line trains that are going in the direction OPPOSITE to O'Hare Airport, and exit at the UofI-Halstead exit. There are two surface-level stations, one of them at Halstead St, and the other one on-Campus. If you take the ramp to the Halstead St station, then walk south to the SES building, where Physics is located (see the map below). If you exit at the Campus station, follow the red path in the map

Cross Roosevelt Rd, and continue straight to the next light, which is Taylor St. Turn left on Taylor, and you will see the visitor parking structure.

From the west. Take the Eisenhower Expressway east. Take the exit to Indiana. Take the next exit, which is the Taylor St. exit. At the lights at the end of the ramp, turn right, and you will be next to the visitor parking structure, where you can park.

From the east. Take Harrison St west to Halstead. Go south on Halstead unitl Taylor. You will see the parking structure at the north-west corner of Halstead and Taylor. Turn left on Taylor, and park.
