This list wishlist dates to early '02. My vintage wishlist (with comments) is still available here.

Computer stuph

  • A working terminal server, or multi-serial card.
  • A version of Mac OS X that doesn't suck.
  • A PC with more power, and less wierd integrated components than the K6 I have. Still waiting for SledgeHammer.
  • An LCD monitor for my server farm. They don't eat my bat the way CRTs do, and blind shutdowns suck.
  • External SCSI enclosures, and the HDs to put in them.
  • An external burner that will work with my G4. Apple doesn't support SCSI burners, even if they're the same mech and firmware as the USB/FireWire version.
  • An External voice capable, rs232 modem. I need one to play with voicegetty. This may depend on the wiggyness of the internal voicemodem/soundcards I have from some recent K6 pulls.
  • A large capacity scsi backup solution, preferably external SE.
  • Broadband that doesn't suck, and a NATwall that can keep up with it and isn't a pain in my ass.

    Stereo stuph

  • Mission Bookself Speakers, actually any nice powerfull, clean speakers Eloise will let in the apartment.
  • an amp with lot's of inputs and phono. Surround would be nice, so that I can take the 5.1 from my DVD and do something real with it.
  • an MD recorder, preferably with a ps/2 or USB keyboard port for track names.
  • dual cassette recorder just in case

    Other stuph

  • A high freq cordless system with DTAD, as I never seem to get around to that voicegetty project.
  • More free time
