TECHNOLOGY AND CULTURE

Purposes

To understand the impact of one force that contributes to the process of creating cultural differences.

To allow you to reflect on your own relationship to culture.

Directions

Write a one-page paper that identifies one technology and describing how it has changed the way people from your cultural background conduct their daily lives.

The paper must be typewritten and proofread.

Submit it through the electronic drop box by the beginning of the next class meeting.

Also print out a copy to share at the beginning of the next class.

The writing itself can be informal and does not require library research or preparation beyond your own knowledge.

Outcome

Come prepared to give a short overview of your paper to a small group in the next class meeting. Also think about how the experience of writing the paper affected you in any way.
