ETHNOCENTRISM

Purpose

To encounter the ways you use your own cultural experiences when reacting to behaviors of people from other cultures.

To draw the connection between your notions of what is correct or normal and the ethnocentrism involved in evaluating the behavior or customs of other cultures.

Directions

Complete the Ethnocentrism Survey on the CourseInfo site for the class. Log on, click on Course Documents, and enter the Survey from there.

Be as honest a possible and write down your immediate responses and explanations for the items.

Print a copy to bring to class.

You are not required to write a paper for this assignment, but do think about your answers to the questions before coming to class.
