Workshop on Market Based Approaches to Environmental Policy
- The Workshop on Market-Based Approaches to Environmental Policy is
a not-for-profit research enterprise that sponsors conferences on decentralized
market incentive measures designed to achieve environmental goals. The
Workshop also sponsors research into the benefits and costs of market-based
approaches compared to alternative policy measures such as traditional
regulation.
- The Workshop has been supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur
Foundation, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, the U. S. EPA,
the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, among other sponsors.
- Student involvements: Both graduate and undergraduate students
have been involved in Workshop activates leading to independent studies
or advanced degrees.
