Madonna M. Murphy, PhD, is Chair of Curriculum and Instruction at the College of Saint Francis, Chicago, IL. She has extensive experience in teaching character development at the elementary, secondary and collegiate levels. Professor Murphy teaches courses on moral and character education for teachers both at the College of St. Francis and through UIC's continuing education program. She formerly taught at Aurora University in IL. She is currently affiliated with the Metro Center in Chicago, where she has been involved for several years. The Metro Center is affiliated with the Chicago archdiocese and serves the educational needs of inner city children.
