Discovering Ethical Leadership Seminar (DEL)

The Discovering Ethical Leadership Seminar is a one-day intensive interactive experience designed for students about to enter middle school. This program was developed in collaboration with administrators, faculty, parents, and community members of elementary school District #64 in Park Ridge Illinois. The project is funded by a grant from the Elementary Learning Foundation (ELF) of Park Ridge.

DEL activities engage students in intensive reflection on issues of morality, societal convention, personal choice, and moral identity. The program utilizes role play, discussions, and physical activity to engage students in a fun filled and productive day. The goal is to bring students beyond simply becoming "nice" children to engage them in the process of critical moral reflection.
