After carrying out postdoctoral research
in plant biochemistry at the Rockefeller
University in NewYork
City, he became a research plant physiologist with International Minerals
and Chemical Corp. (now part of the The
Mosaic Company) in Libertyville, IL before joining the faculty at UIC.
He has also held visiting faculty positions at the University
of California at Davis and
Arizona State University in Tempe.
Dr. Gassman is a member of the American Society
of Plant Biologists and the American
Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. A selected group
