Two attorneys are on staff to assist currently enrolled students. Those who need legal assistance may come to the office or call to make an appointment. Consultations usually take place within 48 hours of initial contact. You must present your UIC student ID card and proof of enrollment. No fees are charged for the basic services we provide. The attorney-client privilege is strictly enforced. They also offer educational programs for student groups, and provide workshops on various topics of interest to students. Literature on these topics are available in the office.

Training is offered in kihon, kata, kumite, and self-defense. Beginners, intermediate or advanced students are welcome! Member of the International Traditional Karate Association. Students can train at any of 11 locations in Chicago. No fee at most locations!

The UIC Writing Center is a free service; especially interested in helping first year students become more independent, resourceful, and successful writers. You and a tutor work together to select and develop a writing assignment. Each student is able to make two appointments per week.

Illinois offers special incentives to future Air Force officers. If you are an Illinois resident between 17 and 28, and attend UIC, you may apply for a scholarship. The state scholarship pays your tuition. You may apply through the AFRTOC detachment: call 312-567-3525. Your commitment is required until the junior year of college, and the initial period of active duty is 4 years.
