The First midterm will be held this Friday from 6-8pm in Lecture Room A1.

Physics 107 is a non-calculus-based course that introduces the student to electricity and magnetism, geometric optics and some basics quantum modern physics.

Homework
Homework problems will be based on the exercises at the end of each chapter. Each assignment must be completed on-line at the website Mastering Physics http://www.MasteringPhysics.com. The homework assignments will be due by 11pm CST on the day listed in the class outline. The value of each homework problem starts at full credit if completed on (or before) the due date, after then it decreases automatically every hour until homework problems completed TWO days after the deadline are worth only 20%.
The online system will always “save your work” so you can easily work on the problems throughout the week is several sessions.
To use this program, you need a Student Access Kit (a code) which comes with your textbook. Please follow the directions in the access kit for registering.
The mastering astronomy course ID is UICPHY107FALL2009. When registering make sure to use your UIN when prompt for your student ID.
