The PRTP conducts a weekly training seminar in which training faculty and other prevention research experts work with the program fellows. What follows is a description of the fellowship seminar for the 1997/1998 academic year.

Prevention Research Training Seminar

Objectives: The purpose of the seminar is to provide fellows with an opportunity to become familiar with current issues in the design and conduct of prevention research. The seminar focuses on increasing fellows' familiarity with the prevention research activities of the training faculty; expanding critical thinking about current topics in prevention; and developing fellows' professional and research skills. In addition, the seminar serves as a resource for fellows to share their own work and ideas with colleagues.
