Logistic regression is reviewed 
in the context of generalized linear models and link functions.
The logit link function is derived from discriminant analysis.
Bias correction of the inverse link (the logistic function) is obtained.
Other link functions for binary variables are discussed.
It is indicated how logistic regression is used 
in finite mixture models and hidden Markov models.
