Stanley L. Sclove,
a statistician,
is Professor
of Information &
Decision Sciences in the College of Business Administration at the
University
of Illinois at Chicago.
In the Department, he is Chair of
the Committee on Statistics and currently a member of the Advisory Committee.
In the College, he is
Coordinator of the
Business Statistics Area-of-Inquiry
of the
PhD Program in Business Administration.
Sclove
also holds appointments in the Division
of Epidemiology & Biostatistics (School of Public Health), the Department
of Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science (College of Liberal Arts
& Sciences), and the Department of Bioengineering (College of Engineering).
Sclove is a graduate of
Dartmouth
College (A.B., Applied Honors Mathematics) and
Columbia University (Ph.D., Mathematical
Statistics).
He has published a number of research
papers in statistical and scientific journals and has co-authored several
books.
His
professional experience
includes research, consulting, and teaching.
He was nominated for UIC's Silver Circle Teaching Award in 1994.
Sclove
is a member
of a number of professional societies and
has held offices
in several.
Currently, in the Classification Society
he is Secretary/Treasurer,
he is a member of the Finance Committee of the International Federation of Classification Societies,
and in the
American Statistical Association he is
the Risk Analysis Section's
Representative to the ASA Council of Sections.
