| Pi Sigma Chapter |

The 1997 Illinois Chapter of the Year was awarded to Pi Sigma Chapter for the first time in its twelve-year history. This award would not be Pi Sigma's without the help of Walter Woods, Victor White, Edward Rhyne, Ronelle De Shazer, Patrick Vital, James Blair, Rudolph Bennett, Duane Bowen, Shaka Rawls and to all the brothers who contributed in there own ways. It's about time Pi Sigma made its mark in the Illinois History Book. The challenge is not over yet brothers, now we have to represent the whole Illinois District at the Regional Convention in St. Louis, Mo. The chapter needs all the help it can get, money, ideas, suggestions, but the green stuff talks the most.

The 65th Annual Midwestern Regional Convention will be held by the brothers of Epsilon Lambda Chapter in St. Louis Mo., on March 27 - 30, 1997. It will be held at the Marriott Pavilion Hotel in downtown St. Louis. For hotel reservations call 1-800-228-9290 or 314-421-1776. Alpha Registration is $90 dollars for alumni and $60 for college brothers.

Two periods of Membership Intake are currently planned-Fall 1996 and Spring 1997. The deadlines for receiving aspirants membership applications are as follows: Fall 1996 deadline is September 30, 1996 and Spring 1997 deadline is February 14, 1997. Completed applications must be postmarked and mailed to the General Office by the above dates. There will be no exceptions made in the application deadline. Application fees are $480 for alumni, $335 for freshmen, $310 for sophomores, $285 for juniors and $260 for seniors.

Due to the cost of manufacturing The Standing Order, there will be a $15.00 dollar fee for a year for the chapter newsletter, excluding June, July, and August. Ten dollars for the newsletter and five for fraternity and chapter information added. This will have to be paid at the beginning of each academic year. Payment for the newsletters was due February 1,1997, but due to Chapter of The Year honors, this one is on the chapter. After this newsletter if you do not send payment ASAP, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE NEWSLETTER, THIS IS NOT A JOKE. If you would like the newsletter emailed to you, please call Ronelle so the proper arrangements can be made. If you have any questions please call Ronelle at (630) 829-6644 or Shaka at (630)829-1985.

For the next copy of The Standing Order, if you have anything that you want to be expressed to the brotherhood, please send it to Ronelle before the end of March.

"Without struggle, theirs is no
progress"

The chapter needs as much help as it can receive, too participate in the Regional convention. We ask that everyone that can contribute in anyway to do so, because we want Pi Sigma to be known all over the country because after we take Regionals we are going for Nationals. The chapter invites in and everyone to attend chapter meetings held every other Sunday at 3:00pm.

The only brotherhood concern
there is, is where are the lost
brothers of Pi Sigma? From
1985 on down to 1991, it would
be nice to put the names with
the faces for a change.
