The Fraternity has lost a true brother in Milton Johnson.
The first week in December of 1996, Bro. Milton Johnson, the former
Illinois District Directory passed away. His death was due to complications
of Cancer. Bro. Johnson was known for his patience and understanding of
undergraduate brothers. He always went to battle, to keep the fraternity
were it originally came from which was undergrad. Bro. Johnson will be
deeply missed, but his passion for the Fraternity will remain. A memorial
was held for him on December 14,1996 in Springfield, IL.

State Convention at ISU.
The Brothers of Eta Tau and Nu Psi Lambda are hosting the District of Illinois convention January 31- February 2,1997. A district wide ritual ceremony for approved ghost brothers will take place this year. Only registered brothers will be admitted to this ceremony! Hotel accommodations have been made at the Best Western University Inn at 6 Traders Circle in Normal, Illinois. The rates are singles $56.00 a night and doubles are $63.00 a night. Room are on reserve until January 17,1997, to confirm reservation call (309) 454-4070. If possible, we ask all brothers to attend State this year, because we feel we are going to surprise the State with the things we have accomplish this year.

Service Projects for the year.
The 96-97 Chapter year has been very productive especially in the department
of community work. This year Pi Sigma has had a Blanket Day, were we delivered
50 blankets to the Hessed House in Aurora, and the Salvation Army in the
city. Also we had Tag Day with the UNCF, Career Night with the Alphas.
Plus Brothers sacrificed and feed the homeless on Thanksgiving Day. Brothers
went to Catholic Charities and help mentor some young men. On January 22,
1997 the brothers will be having there finally service project before the
State Convention. This event will be a Greek Panel where all eight Greek
organizations will discuss the misconception of Greek Life. This event
will be held at North Central College.

New General President.
The new General President-Elect is Bro. Adrian L. Wallace. President
Wallace will be having his inauguration as the 30th General President January
10-11 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Plus there will be a leadership seminar
being held also.
Chapter Newsletter Registration.
Due to the cost of manufacturing The Standing Order, there will
be a $15.00 dollar fee for the Academic year for the chapter newsletter.
Ten dollars for the newsletter and five for fraternity and chapter information
added. This will have to be paid at the beginning of each academic year.
Payment for the next newsletters will be due before February 1,1997. If

For the next copy of The Standing Order, if you have anything that
you want to be expressed to the brotherhood, please send it to Ronelle
before the end of January.

Chapter Business.
This year at the State Convention Pi Sigma will be running for Chapter
of The Year and Bro. Shaka Rawls will be participating in the Oratorical
Contest. Added in the Newsletter packet is a Reactivation Call Sheet were
brothers can become active financially with the National Headquarters again.

Brotherhood Concerns.
This is offered to brothers who want to stay active within Pi Sigma, but
cannot attend meetings. A fee of $30 dollars a school semester which are
Chapter Dues, this includes The Standing Order, plus all fraternity
and chapter business, like constitutions, amendments, State/Regional/National
notification of events, budget accounts, etc. So if you are interested

at (630) 829-2152. That would be a total of sixty dollars for the whole
academic school year.
